Yolanda B., LMHC

Yolanda graduated with her Masters in counseling from New Mexico Highlands University while working as a social worker, where she provided community involved, recovery based, and primary care integrated treatment to individuals and their families, to include seeking services to help patients and their families meet their mental health and social needs. Previous experience include several internships at an elementary school, behavioral health center and the DWI treatment center in our surrounding community. Yolanda specializes in both mental health and substance use disorders, her approach centers around the strengths of the client while holding paramount the client’s aspirations, needs, and goals. She believe in working collaboratively with clients to identify the issues they deem most important. It is her intention to provide the most appropriate and effective services through the use of both best-practice, evidenced based models.
